Last 2018-05-11 took place a meeting of the Plastic Certification Committee with SEIASA, State Society of Agricultural Infrastructures (SEIASA), under the coordination of its Deputy Director of Works and Exploitation, Jose Angel Hernandez Redondo, who is also member of the AENOR Certification Committee.
After a short introduction of the Certification Committee by the President, Mr. Santolino, he proceeded to present in detail the AENOR certification scheme paying special attention to those points of most relevance from the point of view of a user of a certified product such as SEIASA.
The recent changes in the certification regulations of the product families more demanded by SEIASA, glass fiber reinforced polyester tubes and PVC and PE pipes for pressurized water supply and irrigation applications, were also analysed in detail. In the first case, as a consequence of the recent adaptation of our specific rules to the contents and requirements of the “Technical Guide for the design, manufacture and installation of pressurized pipes of polyester reinforced with fiberglass”, published by CEDEX.
Finally, the chairman of the Committee made a detailed presentation on the characteristics to be put in value with the completion of each of the tests of the standard, as well as the consequences that could have in a given circumstance the obtaining of a result in the margin of the specification in any of the requirements.
After the aforementioned presentations, a long turn of questions was opened where day-to-day circumstances of the exploitations were analysed, being this colloquium of great interest for all.
A total of 15 SEIASA technicians from different delegations, Andalusia, Aragon, Extremadura and Valencia attended the meeting by video conference.
