Plastic pipes and fitting certified by AENOR
AENOR has over 1200 technical standards related to plastics, including those that define the characteristics of the products and others defining test methods to ensure these benefits. This figure places this sector as one of the most active in AENOR. Within its field of activity, it includes diverse products as: plastics for agriculture, automotive and aerospace, packaging, consumer goods, toys, bags, etc.
AENOR has established a framework for assessing the compliance of plastic products through technical bodies, which include representatives of all the actors concerned to a product. More than 220 factories in 24 countries undergo the AENOR evaluation of their products in accordance with the characteristics set out in the standards. To identify these products from the rest of the market, these are marked with the logo AENOR .
More and more plastic products are used in construction, particularly pipes and fittings certified by AENOR for various applications in civil works and construction.
Supply and sewerage, irrigation, waterproofing, gas pipes... are some of the applications of these products in civil works. Supply of hot and cold water, rainwater drainage and sewage or underfloor heating... are typical building applications.
The AENOR Mark certifies that the labeled products comply with the requirements defined in the product standards. Before granting the use of AENOR Mark, AENOR performs audits, periodic inspection and testing of products, as it is set out in the Specific Rules. Currently, only in the field of certified plastic products, there are 55 Specific Rules.
Companies that certify their products with AENOR undertake, by this system, continuously maintaining the highest level of quality. The AENOR Technical Plastics Certification Committee AEN/CTC-001 will promptly inform by this website of every plastic products certified by AENOR, the certified companies and the products included in the scope, in order to help to promote them, and overall, to improve the quality in the sector. |
