Day at the School of Engineering and Industrial Design in Madrid
Under the title The world of plastic pipes: more than you can imagine on 2015-04-23 took place a presentation about the different applications of plastic pipes in both, civil engineering and construction, in the School of Industrial Design Engineers of Madrid.

The presentations, which were realized by representatives of AseTUB and AENOR, including videos of manufacturing processes and production control tests carried out by the manufacturers in their facilities. All of these activities are  part of the certification process of the AENOR, which was also explained to the students of the School.

At the end of the day students and teachers had the opportunity to approach plastic products brought for this occasion.

Also, attendees got a dossier with the information provided by AseTUB and by the Plastics Certification Committee of AENOR, AEN/CTC-001.

Part of the day was dedicated to the Special applications of these products, which drew attention for their novelty:
  • Desalination and chemical plants, and other industrial uses
  • Trenchless technologies and marine outfalls
  • Radiant heating and cooling and district heating
  • Geothermal, soundproof soil and water systems and fire behavior
  • Gas installations and industrial and commercial cooling

Finally, each of the 94 students will be granted with a certificate from the School.

We thank the ETSIDI for its warm welcome, and give our congratulations for this initiative.
