Last 2017-11-10 SANAS, South African National Accreditation System, granted the accreditation to AENOR as a product certification body in accordance with ISO/IEC 17065 for the following standards of plastic piping systems:
SANS 16422 PVC-O pipes
SANS 15874-1,2,3 & 5 Pipes, fittings and system of polypropylene PPR
SANS 15875-1 & 2 Pipes of Cross-linked polyethylene PEX
SANS 15876-1,2,3 & 5 Pipes, fittings and system of polybutylene PB
SANS 21003-1,2,3 & 5 Multilayer systems of PERT and PEX
AENOR, which at present has issued 22 certificates to 14 companies in accordance with the previous standards, becomes the leading organization in the certification of plastic piping systems for hot and cold water and heating installations according to SANS standards, being the only certification body accredited by SANAS currently for the certification of multi-layer pipe systems and polypropylene piping systems.
With this accreditation, the products bearing the AENOR Mark will have the maximum recognition in the South African market by the different agents of the market, prescribers, official departments and users.
This step in AENOR's commitment to the South African market is only the beginning of an activity that is intended to be much broader and will include more products in the near future, for which we are already working and dedicating our greatest efforts. Likewise, we are delighted to meet the demands that may arise from manufacturers of other products.
