After the recent assistance to the Mostra Convegno in Milano, AENOR Certificación de Plásticos reaffirms its decision to increase its international presence and will participate in the Interbuild AFRICA 2018 fair, which will be held in Johannesburg from August 15th to 18th. This will be the first time that AENOR participates in a fair in the African continent.
This fair is the most important in the plastic piping systems industry in Africa and is an excellent opportunity to communicate and disseminate the certification activities that AENOR has been carrying out in accordance with South African SANS standards for some years.
At present, AENOR has issued 23 certificates corresponding to 14 companies in accordance with SANS standards, mainly in the field of piping systems for hot water and heating as well as civil-construction PVC-O pipes. All these certificates are accredited by the South African Accreditation Organization, SANAS, and consequently are recognized by the South African market, especially by JASWIC, (Joint Acceptance Scheme for Water Services Installation Components), an association created by the municipal engineers of water companies of the main municipalities of South Africa to promote the use of approved components in water and sanitation facilities, and at the same time, to establish and maintain a list of accepted products based on product compliance with SANS standards.
In the short term, the scope of the certification will be extended to:
- Compression fittings for mechanical connection with polyethylene pipes with pressure for water supply, in accordance with SANS 14236 and
- Plastic piping systems for the soil of waste water (low and high temperature) inside the buildings, in accordance with SANS 8770.
We can meet you at booth E18 in Hall 6, where we personally assist you.
