First plastic pipes certified by AENOR for companies in
Slovenia and South Africa
On 2016-06-01 AENOR has granted the company HULIOT D.O.O. the certificate for "Polypropylene (PP) pipes for evacuation of waste water (low and high temperature) within the building structure" according to UNE-EN 1451-1, manufactured at its facilities in Horjul (Slovenia). This is the first AENOR certificate issued for plastic products to a manufacturer in Slovenia.
HULIOT D.O.O. is a manufacturer with Israeli origin, with over 60 years’ experience, producer of plastic systems for water supply, drainage and sanitation pipes. The headquarters and main factory of the group is in the Kibbutz Sde Nehemia, in the Upper Galilee of Israel, where HULIOT has also been granted at this meeting the AENOR product certificate for "injected polypropylene (PP) fittings for evacuation of waste water within the building structure ", according to the same standard. On the other hand, AENOR has also granted the first certificates for plastic pipes to South African companies, DPI PLASTICS and SPS MANUFACTURING PTY. LTD., with headquarters in Cape Town and Richards Bay respectively. With these new grants, there are now 30 countries with AENOR certificates for plastic products. The company SPS MANUFACTURING PTY. LTD will market the "oriented PVC pipes (PVC-O) for piping water systems" produced by MOLECOR TECHNOLOGY, S.L. in Loeches, Madrid. Moreover, in the case of DPI PLASTICS, the company will market "oriented PVC pipes (PVC-O) for piping water systems" produced with AENOR Mark in the factory ADEQUA WATER SOLUTIONS, S.A. in Antequera, Malaga. In the case of those two South African companies, AENOR Certificates are issued according to South African standard SANS ISO 16422, which is identical to UNE ISO 16422. AENOR has requested the inclusion of the SANS 16422 standard in the scope of the ENAC accreditation, so that the Certificates can make reference to that accreditation, as Spanish signatory of IAF agreement accreditation bodies. Thus, Certificates can be recognized as demonstrative element of compliance with legislation in South Africa. DPI group is the largest manufacturer of plastic pipes in South Africa, with four production centers in the country, in addition to factories in Botswana, Namibia, Angola, Tanzania and Mauritius Islands. They market PVC and PE pipes for water supplying, as well as solutions for sanitary applications, evacuation and cold and hot water installations. SPS Manufacturing PTY Ltd owns to company group Sizabantu Piping Systems, which is the largest group pipes distributor in South Africa. SPS Manufacturing PTY Ltd together with Molecor PTY Ltd, will begin production of PVC-U, PVC-M and PVC-O in Richard Bay (South Africa) in the coming months. |
