From AENOR we are confident that these complicated moments that we are facing worldwide will be gradually overcome and we hope that will return to a normal situation soon.
Considering the restrictions imposed facing the extension of the Covid-19 Coronavirus crisis, we have adjusted the activity to the guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), health authorities and local governments, keeping the attention of all services with the aim of giving continuity to the activities of Product Certification.
In this sense, we inform that all AENOR technicians and the Secretary have been doing home office since the decree of the alarm state and remain in contact with all the parties involved in the certification schemes: clients, laboratories, consumers, evaluation entities, accreditation entities, etc. to continue developing our activity satisfactorily.
We have considered necessary to modify the usual system of inspection and sampling of certified products in the Plastics Certification Committee. For the inspections scheduled until 2020-04-30, the inspection visit will be postponed until the situation allows us to carry out the inspection under the best safety conditions for both, AENOR inspectors and for the personal of the company to be visited. However, with the aim to reduce delays in the initial, follow-up and extraordinary certification process, and to give continuity to the certification scheme in a reasonably manner, samples of these planned inspections are being carried out remotely.
Concerning of audit visits, they are being carried out also remotely, having already been carried out in a significant number of organizations. In this way, there are not delays in the audit process and place to the companies in a better position to recover normal activity as soon as possible once the coronavirus crisis is passed.
In other hands, CEIS laboratory and other laboratories that also participate in the certification process are actively working to meet the commitments and taking all the preventive measures recommended by the authorities to guarantee the health of the workers.
We appreciate in advance for your collaboration and confident and remain at your disposal for any question that may arise through the usual communication channels.
