At the beginning of 2019, AENOR and AFNOR began the conversations that culminated in a collaboration agreement through which AENOR committed to carry out factory inspections of plastic pipe systems on behalf of AFNOR.
Once signed the collaboration agreement between AFNOR and AENOR, it is being implemented since mid-year. The solid qualification procedures, the rigorous performances and the professional personnel that performs the functions in the field, AFNOR has placed in the AENOR inspection team its confidence.
Thus, AENOR inspectors are carrying out factory inspections for the concession or maintenance of the AFNOR NF Mark in accordance with the NF545 certification scheme for the certification of multilayer systems, PEX tubes, PB pipes and accessories for the mentioned tubes.
These inspections are carried out by the same inspector team that acts for the AENOR Mark, acting on behalf of AFNOR, and sometimes, at the same time as the inspections for the AENOR Mark, which is a clear advantage for manufacturers who decide to have Both certificates.
Under this agreement and until December 2019, AENOR has visited factories in China, Spain, England, Italy, Israel and Turkey.
Likewise, if any manufacturer with AENOR certified plastic products wishes to apply for the NF Mark, that company can submit the inspection reports previously made by AENOR jointly with the CEIS test reports realized in the scope of the AENOR Mark certification as part of the dossier to be presented to AFNOR and as a basis for the NF certification.
